Ed Sheeran Plays Secret Gig At Latitude

With much speculation surrounding the surprises in store from the Latitude organisers for the 10th Anniversary of the festival, many had noticed the absence of Suffolk’s biggest pop star, Ed Sheeran, from the bill.

Rumoured to give a special appearance, the hype continued when he was spotted in his home town of Framlingham just a few days ago.

Apparently only confirming an hour before his secret set, the first we heard was a whisper in the woods followed by a stampede to join a queue that never reached the arena. Only allowing a crowd of a 1,000 through, those who had seen Ed’s brief tweet announcing his gig (or those lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time), got the chance to see the soulful singer in action.

Unfortunately readers, we were not among the lucky few, so I can only pass on the message from a friend that he was “amazing.” Playing songs from both his first and second albums, perhaps he will return one day to play the main arena…
